ORIHUELA, SECOND CITY IN SPAIN WITH MORE QUALITY DISTINCTIVES

The Association of Environmental and Consumer Education (ADEAC) has awarded this year its quality label to nine beaches in the Orihuela coast. The beaches in which the blue flag will fly are Punta Prima, Cala Estaca, Cala Bosque Cala Capitán, La Caleta, Cala de Aguamarina, La Glea and Barranco Rubio, to which the Cala Mosca beach is added this year for the first time.

The mayor of Orihuela, Emilio Bascuñana, and the Beach and Tourism councillors, Luisa Boné and Sofía Álvarez, showed their satisfaction after knowing that Orihuela has this year a total of eleven blue flags (9 beaches and 2 marinas). Thus Orihuela is the second municipality in Spain with more quality distinctions.

The Beaches councillor, Luisa Boné, said that by this way it is recognized the high quality of the water of our beaches and its excellence in services provided to users such as beach bars, showers, accessibility and first aid.
